What's the story?

Marine Mind Space is a unique organisation focusing on mindful connections and the environment.

Founded by Matt Mitchell with help from his crazy springer Moondog (Luna) during the middle of the COVID19 pandemic.

Our mission is to provide new ways for people to reconnect with nature and find peace in their local environments. This helps to challenge the everyday stresses in a new and personal way.

Focusing on the marine environment it is important for us to ensure minimal impact on the diverse underwater world in which we are lucky to be brief inhabitants of during our events.

Our logo is derived from one of the local Sharks 'Lesser Spotted Dogfish (Small Spotted Catshark, Scyliorhinus canicula)' native to the Devon coast and UNESCO World Heritage Site which is also where we're based.

A key value of the business is no one is left out because we believe that everyone has the right to experience and engage with our natural environment. Profits from our events, tours and merchandise are fed back into the community via education, environmentalism, conservation and our social prescribing links with the NHS and other mindful organisations.

We are working with and learning from amazing partners such as The Seal Project and 365 Sea Swim challenge. We are actively seeking to team up with more like minded local charities and business to deliver the best experience and education we can.

See you in the sea!
